Session I, Friday, March 13, 2020
From Astrology to Astronomy to Astrosophy ~ A basic introduction in how to know the stars
In this introductory session, Mary Stewart Adams will lead us on an interactive journey through the stars in this season and how to understand them from the perspective of the Star Lore Historian, which work combines the art of astrology, the science of astronomy, and the wisdom of astrosophy.
Session II, Saturday, March 14
The Role of the Divine Feminine in Star Wisdom
Building on the introduction into evolving star wisdom from session I, in this session we will apply our understanding to what’s happening the sky in March 2020 and its relationship to the festival cycle of the year, as preparation for the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter at Winter Solstice 2020. This session will include artistic activity.
As a Star Lore Historian, Mary Stewart Adams’ work is informed by a lifetime studying the stars through the insights gleaned from the spiritual science known as Anthroposophy, and by the rigorous public engagement that resulted from leading over a decade of programs after establishing only the 9th international dark sky park in the world in Michigan, in 2011. Since 2013, Mary has produced the weekly public radio segment The Storyteller’s Night Sky, and she has traveled extensively teaching a humanities-based approach to the night sky.
