Harvest Moon at Offield Family Viewlands
October 1 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that occurs closest to Autumn Equinox, which means that it can happen before or after that point of balance in the waning cycle of the year.
When the Harvest Moon happens after Equinox, as it will in this year, the mood of the season is quite different, evidenced even in the changing position of stars overhead.
This evening, Mary Stewart Adams will share tales of harvest traditions associated with this Moon, while also considering what we bring to harvest in 2020. Program will include guidance around the night sky, and other highlights of the season.
Program from 7 to 9 pm, to catch sunset at 7:21 pm and the Full Harvest Moon rising at 7:44 pm.
Program available live in person, and on Zoom. Go to landtrust.org to register!
