The Current Venus Cycle and the Foundation Stone

March 25, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Program happens online, by donation to the Chicago Rudolf Steiner Branch (link below)
In June 2020, the planet Venus came to inferior conjunction with the Sun. It had been eight years since its rare Transit of 2012, when the planet appeared to move directly in front of the Sun. A Transit event only happens every 120 years, and marks a significant moment in the evolution of human civilization, as imagined through the ancient Greek myth of Prometheus, who gathers a spark of light from Helios and gifts it to humanity, for fanning the spark into flame by their own strong endeavor.  The 2012 Venus Transit signaled the fulfillment of the Mayan Long-Count calendar, and there was talk of the “end of times” when the Sun aligned with the Galactic Center at Winter Solstice that year.
Eight years is the amount of time it takes for Venus to complete one cycle, during which it appears to create a pentagram, or five-pointed star, around the Earth. So 2020 marked the first full pentagram of Venus after its rare Transit. There were several other celestial rhythms culminating in 2020, not the least of which was the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter, also at Winter Solstice. The next cycle of Venus then began again on January 8, 2022, and while the last eight-year cycle was informed by Venus’ Transit of the Sun, this one is informed by the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter. This current cycle will last from January 8, 2022 to January 6, 2030, Epiphany, at the onset of the 21st century decade that marks 100 years since the first beginnings of the great mystery of our era heralded by Rudolf Steiner, regarding the true nature of the second coming.
In this presentation, Mary Stewart Adams will lead us through the significant points in this current Venus cycle, from 2022 to 2030, so that we may have a framework within which to develop imaginations, to engage artistically, and to do spiritual research that strengthens our experience of speaking to the stars.
“It was established by the first Rosicrucians  that all their discoveries had to remain their secret for a hundred years. Not until a hundred years had passed could these Rosicrucian revelations be divulged to the world ~ not until they had worked at them for a hundred years could they speak of them in an appropriate way.” ~ Rudolf Steiner 27 September, 1911 “Who Was Christian Rosenkreutz”
