Who Will Wear the Starry Crown ~ Straits of Mackinac Star Cruise with Star Lore Historian Mary Stewart Adams
June 27, 2019 @ 9:15 pm - 10:45 pm
$29
The constellation of the starry crown, Corona Borealis, comes to its highest place in the sky every year at the end of June, and its beautiful stars adorn the onset of the summer season, while they also coax meteors to fall from the nearby constellation of Boötes, the shepherd (Corona Borealis also happens to be Mary’s favorite constellation!).
We’ll cruise west under the elegant Mackinac Bridge to catch the setting Sun over Lake Michigan this evening, then settle back and wait for the starshine, with tales of the crown from both mythology and folklore, as well as star-inspired tunes to compliment the mood.
